Gábor Kincses, director of the Physical Education Centre said that ‘every week, we involve nearly 5000 students in some kind of physical activity in our formal physical education classes and recreational programmes working with the most highly qualified physical education teachers and sports coaches. The most popular sports are ball games, strength training, martial arts and yoga. Our extracurricular tasks include organising recreational sports activities for students, hosting BEFS Universitas and MEFOB tournaments and delegating BME students to international university events organised by EUSA and FISU. The University Sports Days, which attracts thousands of visitors every year, is an event we have co-hosted, together with the Students’ Representative Council for decades now, and which offers a professional insight into sports for our students.’
