The IMT (International Mentor Team) is a student organisation at BME for international students. The aim of this group is to give you a helping hand with the official arrangements at the beginning of your stay. Furthermore, the IMT organises community activities such as game nights, movie nights, hiking trips and so on, to make the most of your stay. The official website of the IMT is where you can find the most important official topics, such as immigration office, tax ID and so on, as well as the visiting hours, dormitories, student life or any upcoming events. Another useful part of the website is the FAQ section, if you have any questions concerning the official matters, you may find your answer there. If you have any questions or problems, do not hesitate to contact them!
BME has a beautiful Campus, with gorgeous buildings and large parks. We have exciting programs and vibrant city life. The university is located in the heart of Budapest. The Science Park is located right next to the BME campus, where the offices of many large international companies can be found. We have 4 Nobel Prize winners and dozens of famous scientists; 8 faculties; 76 departments; 26 Bachelor’s degree programmes – 8 in English; 39 Master’s degree programmes – 19 in English; 12 Doctoral Schools; 28 university buildings; 4141 total number of occupants in residence hall.
At the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, 1200 lecturers and professors work every year, involving 5000 subjects and 10 000 courses to ensure that our students become the best qualified professionals in their field. Our annual pool of 24,000 students are welcome to join 12 doctoral schools if they plan to further their career in science.
