Periodica Polytechnica - BME's scientific journal family
Periodica Polytechnica is the English-language scientific journal of BME Seven faculties publish seven different scientific and engineering journals under the aegis of Periodica Polytechnica. All online publications are available free of charge.
A scientific journal published and edited by the Faculty of Architecture of BME. Established in 1957, it was temporarily on hiatus between 1993 and 2007. Published every three years. It publishes research and application-oriented publications in the field of architecture.

Established in 1957, it publishes research and application-oriented publications on chemical, environmental and bioengineering topics quarterly. Scientific journal published and edited by the BME Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. Established in 1957, it publishes research and application-oriented publications on electrical engineering, IT and computing quarterly.
Scientific journal published and edited by the BME Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Established in 1957, it is published quarterly in January, April, July and October. It publishes in various areas of mechanical engineering, materials science, energy, machine and production design, manufacturing science and technology, mechatronics, optics, polymer technology, hydrodynamic systems, building service engineering and cyber-physical systems. A special feature of the journal is that it encourages researchers to write scientific theses in topics regarding mechanical engineering disciplines, such as nanotechnology, biomaterials, renewable energy, cyber-physical production systems and Industry 4.0. Scientific journal published and edited by the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of BME. Established in 1993, it is published biannually with research and application-oriented publications in management and social sciences. Among the topics covered, theses on the Central European region and emerging markets deserve special attention.
Scientific journal published and edited by the Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering of BME. Established in 1972, it is published quarterly. Between 1972 and 1999, the professional work at the journal was managed by the BME KJK faculty committee. It publishes research and application-oriented publications in the fields of transportation, logistics and automotive engineering. Future emerging technologies in the transportation sector (autonomous vehicles and electromobility), as well as intelligent transportation systems and ICTs, are among the topics covered.
