International student recruiters meet at BME

Recruiter agencies play an important role in the university's internationalisation strategy.

BME organised a meeting and workshop for its international student recruitment agents. More than 15 recruiters attended from Turkey, Dubai, Iran, Vietnam, Taiwan and Singapore.

First, participants were given some basic information about BME, followed by a presentation on the university's internationalisation strategy by András Nemeslaki, Vice-Rector for International Affairs. The staff of the Directorate of Foreign Language Education and the Central Academic Office jointly presented the application procedures, followed by Balázs Bokor, assistant professor at the GPK, who spoke about future opportunities in cooperation with agencies.

After a campus tour and a lunch break, Mr Bálint Molnár, Director of Communications, held an interactive workshop on the channels used to reach students and asked for participants' opinion and advice on promotional materials.

The BME mentors, who help international students from the moment they arrive and organise activities for them, also introduced themselves. Finally, Ms. Bíbor Klekner, Director of International Relations, spoke about international exchange programmes, pointing out that foreign students can also apply for Erasmus programmes, among others.
