You can watch all of the films with English subtitles.

The University Film Club, which started last autumn, will continue in the spring, according to organiser Krisztina Orbán, expert at the Department of Sociology and Communication at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.

"I tried to choose films that would be a good starting point for the discussion following the screening, and would also deserve the attention of BME's audience because of their cinematic values. There are both audience favourites and ones that are less well-known ", Ms Orbán told bme.hu.

The programme:

27 February, 17.15: Blue Pelican (Kék pelikán, László Csáki, 2023)
3 March, 17.15: Men on the Mountain (Emberek a havason, István Szőts, 1941)
27 March, 17.15: Diary for My Children (Napló gyermekeimnek, Márta Mészáros, 1982)
10 April, 17.15: Bald Dog (Kopaszkutya, György Szomjas, 1982)
8 May, 17.15: The Witness (A tanú, Péter Bacsó, 1969)
22 May, 17.15: Sinbad (Szindbád, Zoltán Huszárik, 1971)

All films will be subtitled in English, by favour of the National Film Institute. The venue is Room 404 of the Q building, and participation is free for BME students and staff. For more information, please contact orban.krisztina@gtk.bme.hu.
