Ádám Varga wins silver medal at the Paris Olympics
2024. 08. 12.This is the second Olympics for the physics student of BME with a podium finish.
Ádám Varga finished second in the kayak single 1000 meters at the Paris Olympics. He was at the fourth or fifth place for three quarters of the race, but opened up a long chase, passing his doubles teammate, Tokyo gold medallist Bálint Kopasz, and crossed the finish line just behind Josef Dostal, of the the Czech Republic.
Adam is the second student of BME to win a medal in Paris, with Dávid Nagy winning gold with the épée fencing team.
