Alumni
More than 5,000 new students start their studies at BME each year. They will be the engineers, technical professionals, natural scientists, economists and humanities scholars of the future, who will gain knowledge at BME to become key players in their profession.
Although graduates study in different disciplines, they are united by their alma mater, which is more than just a training institution. This is the place where they spent the most beautiful and influential years of their lives. The last period before real adulthood. The friendships and professional relationships that have been formed here, but even more importantly, the BME heart that beats in all of them, will bind the graduates for life.
BME Alumni Organisation
The BME Alumni Organisation was founded at BME in 1999 to strengthen the relationship between former students and the University. Through their regular publications and newsletters, they provide alumni with an insight into the current life of the University, its educational and academic work, and help organise group and class reunions.
Our university has a decades-long tradition of awarding jubilee degrees to former students who graduated in engineering 50, 60, 65, 70 or 75 years ago. The gold (50), diamond (60), iron (65), ruby (70) and platinum (75) degrees are administered by the Dean's offices of the faculties.

The BME Circle of Supporters and Friends was established in 1987. Its goal is to provide an organised framework for those who support the aims and recognition of the University, to strengthen the love for the alma mater, and to preserve its reputation and prestige.
You can also watch short films about the University and documentary portraits of renowned professors created so far.
Tell us about your years at BME!
The BME Archives welcomes personal documents and memoirs of former students related to their university life, which reveal the University's past in its everyday depths, recall the figures and roles of former university citizens and enrich the archival material's resource value. In this way, the Archives aims to strengthen the identity and sense of community of all university citizens, and to enrich the preservation of university traditions.
