"After more than seven years, having served two terms as rector

you for your continuous attention and support of the traditional relations

Republic, from 1st August, 2004 on, my distinguished colleague Professor

Dear Partners/Associates,
It is our pleasure to let you know that the University Council
of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics has recently decided
to change the formerly used abbreviated names of the University in various
foreign languages. Changing the
different former abbreviations to the uniform BME logogram has been
induced by the intention to use
B M E
as a trade-mark in a wider international context.
